Our commitment to keeping ahead of the competition means investing in equipment that ensures a quality product for you, our customer. Allweather Wood treatment processing facilities are located throughout the Western U.S. These fully-enclosed plants enable year-round production and a steady supply of high-quality inventory. Each of our facilities features:
- High-speed incisors
- Custom pre-staining capabilities
- Computer controlled treating cylinders
- Advanced dehumidification dry kilns
- Distribution capabilities
We utilize advanced dehumidification dry kilns to prepare proprietary products for better stability in all climates or for special order customization. Such an investment in state-of-the-art technology means Allweather Wood is an industry leader in adhering to production practices defined as environmentally responsible and highly efficient. These investments also enable us to meet or exceed the standards set forth by the American Wood Protection Association.
By extending the useful life of wood products through wood preservation, we conserve forestlands for future generations. Wood is a renewable resource from well-managed forests. Wood also requires less energy to produce than some other building materials, as it is made from natural sunlight, rain, and soil nutrients, rather than non-renewable petroleum-based sources.
In addition, Allweather Wood is honored to have obtained Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) chain-of-custody certification for our manufacturing facilities in Loveland, Colorado, Washougal, Washington, and Medford and Coos Bay, Oregon. We also maintain chain-of-custody certification for our distribution facility in Woodland, California. We take our policies of environmental stewardship very seriously. We consider FSC certification to be a badge of honor, as well as an affirmation of our forward-thinking, environmentally sustainable practices. FSC certification enables consumers to make environmentally responsible choices when purchasing wood from retail lumber yards and home improvement centers.
