Above Ground Exposed

Above ground use is defined as use of preservative treated wood products that do not come in direct contact with soil, fresh, or salt water. They may, however, be exposed to weather or in direct contact with concrete, such as in sill plate applications. All of our structural timbers and dimension lumber, which are treated with our NatureWood® or Wolmanized® preservatives, are suited for above ground use.

NatureWood® lumber preservative is a waterborne, alkaline copper quaternary (ACQ) preservative system developed to provide long-term protection of wood exposed in exterior applications, such as landscaping, fencing, and retaining walls..

Wolmanized® L3 Cedartone® wood is a GreenSpec® Approved product as well as a recipient of the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval, it is a natural and environmentally responsible choice for above ground applications.
