Structural Timbers & Dimension Lumber: Certified Code Approved by Timbers Products Inspection

Allweather Wood's structural timbers and dimension lumber are building code approved for use above ground, in ground or in freshwater. Depending on the species and specific use, we treat with CCA or NatureWood non-arsenic based preservative.

Structural timbers come in #1, #2 & Better and Select Structural grades. Typically, a select structural grade gets used where building codes require greater shear strength for a particular building design. Common uses include pole type building – ranging from simple open sided agricultural sheds to elaborate horse barns and shop facilities. Pole type construction generally costs less than conventional slab on grade framing.

Dimension lumber gets sourced from quality mills for its square edge and limited defects sorted to meet Allweather Wood's appearance requirements. Dimension lumber products are commonly used for support structure framing on decks.
